Cecilia Delatte Loup, 81, a native of Wallace, La., and a resident of Vacherie, La., died Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence G. Loup; five sons, Donald P. Delatte Jr. and wife Judy, Bruce A Delatte and wife Charlotte, Kenneth J. Delatte Sr. and wife Marsha, Brian J. Delatte and wife Claire, and Frankie Delatte Sr. and wife Stacy; one brother, Malvin Waguespack; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her first husband of 45 years, Donald Paul Delatte Sr.; parents, Adelta and Drazan Waguespack; and one great-grandchild, Anna Grace.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace in Chauvin, La., where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the perpetual adoration chapel. She loved fishing, traveling, going to the casino and sewing.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Our Lady of Peace Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
