Celestin Joseph Dempster, 92, a native and resident of Des Allemands, La., died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.
He is survived by his sons, C.J. and Marvin Dempster; daughter, Diana Ledet; stepsons, Irvin and David Granier; stepdaughters, Adeline Foster and Loretta Landry; brother, Jerry Dempster; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Dempster; second wife, Sidonia Dempster; son, Kane Dempster; daughter, Sarah Dempster; stepdaughter, Eleanor Matherne; parents, Joseph and Bertilia Dempster; brothers, Gracian, Horace, Gillis, Morris, Tex and Antoine Dempster; sisters, Marie Rome and Lucie Dasche; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville, La., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche, La. (Falgout)
