
HTHA denies woman’s discrimination charge

March 10, 2011Charles Joseph Bergeron, 82, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011.
Mr. Bergeron retired from the City of Houma Power Plant. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Neal Bergeron; sons, Charles Jr. and Jerome Bergeron; three grandchildren, Shelly Ashworth, and Kacy and Troy Bergeron; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa Bergeron, Austin Thompson and Brianna Ashworth; and one sister, Florence Bergeron Ness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Mathile Touro Bergeron; his first wife, Celina Hackel Bergeron; two brothers, Allen and Roland Bergeron; and two sisters, Mickey Langhoff and Beulah Dufrene.
He is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
