Charles “Bill” Wallis, 60, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Terrebonne, La., died Thursday, June 11.
He is survived by his sons, Craig Veal and Reginald Wallis of Houma, La., and Melvin Johnson of Mobile, Ala.; daughters, Annette Veal, Yolanda Veal, Abbie Sims and Renata Sims, all of Houma; brothers, John Allen, Raymond Wallis, John Wallis, all of New Orleans, La., and Theodore Wallis of Raceland; sisters, Brenda Allen, Shelia Allen, Cynthia Allen, Mildred Wallis, Joan Wallis, Vera Wallis, Gloria Wallis, all of New Orleans, and Rose Wallis of Baton Rouge, La.; 15 grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Main and Eartha Wallis Allen; brothers, Joseph Wallis, Jacob Wallis, James Wallis and Melvin Wallis; and sisters, Penny Wallis and Eartha Wallis.
He was Baptist.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Halfway Cemetery in Gray, La.
