Charles Ray Ledet, 88, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
Mr. Ledet was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he was a POW. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Larry Sr. (Elaine) and Mitchel (Suzanne) Ledet; daughters, Linda (Earl) Daigle and Dinah (Arnold) Autin; sisters, Rita and Mable; brother, Aubrey Ledet; best friend, Breeze; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Ledet; parents, Abbie and Lucille Ledet; son, Terry Ledet; and brothers, Morris and Wilfred Ledet.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 18, and 8 to 10 a.m. Monday, May 19, at Chauvin Funeral Home with Liturgy of the Word to follow. Interment will be at Bisland Cemetery. (Chauvin)
