Christine Scott, 83, a native of Warren, Arkansas and long time resident of Morgan City, La., died Saturday, July 17, 2010.

Mrs. Scott was a loyal and active member of The First Baptist Church of Morgan City and was in charge of the kitchen committee and church socials. She was a former executive secretary to the administrator of Dautrive Hospital in New Iberia, La., and Lakewood Hospital in Morgan City, church secretary at Highland Baptist in New Iberia and a long time garden club member. Christine enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Scott; son, Gerald (Jean) Scott; daughter-in-law, Faye Bonnette Scott; sister EIla Jean Melton; five grandchildren, Katie, Michael and Robert (Shelly) Scott, Lisa (Brett) Beauboeuf and Kristy (Brandon) Gilpin; five great-grandchildren; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rucker and Ollie Mosley; and one son, Bobby Scott.

She is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Pineville, La.
