
GMC loosens credit squeeze to entice buyers, but will it be enough?

Clarence J. Savoie Sr., 81, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, January 12.
He is survived by four sons, Clarence “Bo” Savoie Jr., Tommy Savoie, Ricky Savoie and Donald Savoie; four daughters, Jacquelyn Tauzin, Charlotte Ann Blanchard, Ola Mae Clement and Christine Savoie; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bergeron Savoie; his parents, Ola Savoie Adams and Thomas Joseph Savoie; his stepfather, Rene Etienne Adams; one sister, Hazel Childress; and one grandson, Cory Tauzin.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, January 16, at Thibodaux Funeral Home with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
