Claudia C. Cheramie, 80, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Sunday, May 4, at 10:21 p.m.
She is survived by her daughter, Abby C. Autin; sister, Amelia Cheramie; grandchildren, Marc Kimball, Tyler Cheramie, Korte Cheramie, Augie Autin, and Kristi D. Eymard and husband Jean Eymard; and great-grandchildren, Marley Eymard and Jenna Eymard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Jay” Cheramie; parents, Desire and Deidre Callais Cheramie; son, Jay Jody M. Cheramie; brothers, Andrew Cheramie and Leroy Cheramie; and sister, Camelia Lafort.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. She will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
