Clyde “Jay” Cheramie, 58, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014.
Mr. Cheramie was a third generation owner/operator of a crew boat company. His passions were his grandchildren, children and his work. He was a kid at heart and a friend to everyone who lived his dash with a purpose.
He is survived by his fiancé, LaQuita Meek; mother, Hilda Cheramie; son, Jason Cheramie; daughters, Emilie Cheramie and Jennifer (Casey) Ordoyne; brother, Jasper (Nonie) Cheramie; sister, Edwina (Mike) Koen; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Cheramie.
Burial is at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
