Conrad Joseph Lirette Sr., 89, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
Mr. Lirette was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5013. He was a friend to everyone and a giving man full of wisdom and compassion.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Evelyn Lirette; sons, Conrad Jr. (Lola), Thomas (Clo) and Steven Lirette and Terry Jr. (Vickie) and Perry (Cheri) Naquin; daughters, Winona (Darryl) Guidry and Sherry (Floyd) Butcher; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Winona Lirette; parents, Albert Sr. and Ida Lirette; son, Nelson Lirette; brothers, Albert, Wiley, Edward, Randolph, Wilton and Walter Lirette; sisters, Olivier Hebert, Laterina Domangue, Viola Pellegrin and Beatrice Blanchard; and one grandchild.
Burial is at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
