Curvin “Nicky” Castle Jr., 66, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Oct. 16.

He is survived by his wife, Gaynell Bolden Castle; two sons, Ricky Castle of Houma and Tristen Harris; three daughters, Gwendolyn Castle (Troy), Yolanda Castle and Gilda Castle (Steve), all of Houma; four brothers, Louis Castle (Willie Mae) and Joseph Castle (Doris Williams) of Houma, William Castle (Musette) of Pittsford, N.Y., and Donald (Cynthia) Castle of Fayetteville, N.C.; five sisters, Josie Mae Austin, Carolyn Carter (Carlus), Rosalyn Castle, Clara Barbarin (Albert), all of Houma, and Paulette Castle Lay of Hahnville, La.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curvin and Riffie Champagne Castle; one brother, Isaac Castle Sr.; devoted friend, Arnolia Porter; and grandparents, William and Clara Castle and Beatrice Theriot and Henry Champagne.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Community Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at St. Lucy Catholic Church. Burial will be at Southdown Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
