Dallas Paul Hebert, 87 a native of Bourg, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Sept. 20.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie Lovina LeBoeuf Hebert; three daughters, Penny Kangers and husband Ray, Roxanne Jackson and husband Darrell, and Tanya Cross and husband John; two sons, David Hebert and wife Melinda, and John Hebert and wife Theresa; one brother, Carrol Hebert; two sisters, Azelie Bascle and Gloria Arceneaux; eleven grandchildren, Cindy Kangers Hensley, Stephen Kangers, Darrell Jackson Jr., Benjamin Cross, Lydia Kangers, Casey Hebert, Keri Cross Matherne, Joanna Kangers Thorndyke, Erin Hebert, Rebekah Hebert and Haley Hebert; two step-grandchildren, Samantha Pearce and Allyson Nobles; and eight great-grandchildren, Brice, Trey, Braden, Brianna, Payton, Jackson, Carter and Parker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Louise Hebert; two brothers, Archie Hebert and Andrew Hebert; and two sisters, Theresa Maier and Audrey Bascle.
He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion. He retired as a construction supervisor from Texaco after a 38-year career. He was a charter parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church where he was a member of The Knights of Columbus and the Usher Society. He was a past board member of the Texaco Credit Union.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Chauvin Funeral Home, and 11:30 am to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Annunziata Catholic Church. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church with burial at Holy Rosary Mausoleum.
