Dawn Marie Luke, 35, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 3:25 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012.

Ms. Luke was a Certified Nursing Assistant and a loving mother, daughter and sister. She never met a stranger and was loved by many. She was Catholic.

She is survived by her mother, Kellie Luke; daughter, Ashley Viguerie; brothers, Douglas Jr. and Kenny Luke; and grandparents, Gerald and Judith Duplantis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Luke Sr.; biological mother, Pamela Hebert; and grandparents, Druis Sr. and Ena Luke, Jimmy Hebert and Mary Smith.

Burial was at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Chauvin. (Samart)
