Debbie Lynn Matherne, 34, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 6:29 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
She is survived by her mother, Audrey Ledet Matherne; daughter, Cierra Ja’nae Calloway; son, Christian Jace Matherne; sister, Krystal Matherne; godchildren, Jayden Anthony Tolliver, William Rodrigue, Jr., and Kenesha Boudreaux and Jenesha Boudreaux; godmother; Cecile Scott; godfather, Ulysses Guidry; stepfather, Arther Blanchard; uncle, Huey Ledet and aunt, Eunice Bergeron.
She is preceded in death by her father, Milton Anthony Matherne, Sr; brother: Milton Anthony Matherne Jr.; sister, Lola Louise Rodrigue; grandmothers, Wilma Blanchard and Agnes Marcel Ledet; grandfathers, Gustave Matherne and Hewitt Ledet Sr.; aunt, Melba Matherne; and a host of relatives.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 19, at Chauvin Funeral Home, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Holy Family Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
She will be buried at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery.
