Deborah Gauche Staidum, 78, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Friday, May 13, 2011.
Mrs. Staidum was a member of Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church. She served on the Deaconess and Beautifying Ministries and was a hospitality coordinator for the church.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Staidum Sr.; sons, Allen Jr., Frederick Sr. (Janice) and Carlton Sr. (Sherry) Staidum; daughters, Geraund (Isaiah) Lawson, Marilyn Staidum, Gwendolyn (Leslie) Joseph and Angela (Walter) Miles; brothers-in-law, George Kelly and Louis Thomas; sisters-in-law, Ezora Gauche and Annie Mae Lawson; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Chaney Braxton Gauche; son, Jason Staidum; brothers, Benjamin (Mildred), Grable Sr. and Marion Gauche; and sisters, Alice Johnson and Emelda Kelly. (Community)
