Dickie “Dickie Do” Turner, 64, a native of Sikeston, Mo., and a resident of Larose, La., died Saturday, February 28, at 6:30 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Liner Turner; daughters, Hilary Comeaux Lirette and husband Jesse, Bambi Guidry and husband Vincent, and Anita Turner Slaton and husband Stuart; brother, Jerrie Turner; sisters, Della Schuhart, Sally Layton and Gloria Brennan; daughter-in-law, Patti Turner; 11 grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Hazel Monan Turner; son, Michael Turner; and brother, Larrie Turner.
He was retired from LOOP & R.B. Potashnick of Sikeston, Mo., and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #427, Louisiana Scottish Rite and the Lafourche Shrine Club. He enjoyed fishing, carving and painting ducks as well as spending quality time with his grandchildren. He was Christian and a member of Christian Fellowship Church.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La., and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Christian Fellowship Church. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
