Diedra “Dee” Dixon Pace, 40, a native of Kingstown, R.I., and longtime resident of Lafayette, La., died peacefully at her home Saturday, January 26, 2008.
She is survived by her mother, June London Dixon of Houma, La.; her beloved husband of 12 years, Tommy Pace of Lafayette; son, Joshua Pace of Lafayette; daughter, Sarah Pace of Lafayette; sister, April Usie and husband, Gary, of Houma; niece, Brooke Pullin of Houma; two nephews, Bradley and Tyler Buccola of Abita Springs, La.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Hal Dixon; one brother, Henry Hap Dixon.
Diedra owned a spa in Lafayette and had an energy about her that would shine. She had a contagious smile. She was very involved with church and school. Her true vocation was to touch everyone she knew. She was a very devoted wife and mother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, and will never be forgotten.
A special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for the care given to Mrs. Pace during her time of illness.
Active pallbearers will be Dee’s family and friends.
Visitation will be 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008, and 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008, at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette with the funeral service to follow Thursday. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. She will be buried in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette.
