Behind basin restoration, Maloz leads
October 24, 2011Dolores “Sue” L. Ledet Dupre, 88, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011.
Mrs. Dupre was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 9608 and American Legion Post 380 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Dena (Casey) Redmond; son, Albert Jr. (Bessie) Ledet; stepsons, Wayne (June), Joel and Murphy (Paula) Dupre; stepdaughter, Maria Dupre; sister, Emily Naquin; brothers, Willie, Wilbur, Sidney, Albert, Walter and Russell Lyons; 12 grandchildren;10 step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Ledet Sr.; second husband, Murphy Dupre Sr.; parents, Vanis and Beulah Lyons; brother, Lawrence Lyons; sister, Beverly Domangue; and daughter, Charlotte Chauvin.
Burial was at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Chauvin. (Samart)
