Donald “Uncle Duke” Dark, 55, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Wednesday, April 6, 2011.
Mr. Dark was in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by his stepfather, Calvin (Joann) Smith; son, Byron Celestine; brothers, Calvin III, Wayne (Michelle), Jerome (Paula), Alvin (Tiffany), Glen (Sheila), Lance and Patrick; and sister, Rosemary (Stewart) Jasper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora Mae Dark and James Vincent; one brother, James Dark; and two sisters, Wendy Dark and Sharon Jasper.
