Donald J. Pitre, 65, a native of Galliano, LA. and resident of Golden Meadow, LA., died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2007.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, LA. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Lt. Leighton J. Pitre; three daughters, Ramona P. Rebstock, Aileen P. Esponge and Gayla P. Cheramie; one sister, Audrey Guidry; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Lafont Pitre; his parents, Volcare and Eveda Duet Pitre; and one brother, Ulyess Pitre.
He worked in the marine industry and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
