April 11, 2012Dorothy Caillouet Klingman, 96, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 11:20 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012.
Mrs. Klingman was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She was a Girl Scout troop leader and unit chairman. She was a faithful wife and a good mother. She welcomed friends and relatives into her home with fresh coffee and good conversation.
She is survived by her son, Elie II (Ida) Klingman; daughters, Dorothy (C.J.) LeCompte and Leah (Mark) Pearce; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elie Klingman; parents, Louis and Antoinette Caillouet; brothers, Louis, James and Lucien Caillouet; and sisters, Rosemary Caillouet and Antoinette Durel.
Burial was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
