
Matthew 25 rallies to thank the Guard

May 31, 2011Dorothy “Dot” Porche Chatagnier Fischer, 81, a native of Bayou Blue, La., and lifelong resident of Houma, La., died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
Mrs. Fischer was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. She loved her family above all else and was very much loved in return.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Sharon) Chatagnier; daughters, Amy (Mark) Champagne and Janie (Chris) Roger; step-children, Sheen (Editha) and Dr. Melissa Fischer; 13 grandchildren, Gary (Amy), Craig (Jessica), Chad and Matt (Tyra) Chatagnier, Allyson, Kyle and Anna Champagne, Renee, Kristen, Brent and Ryan Roger, and Marshal and Quincey Fischer; four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Alexis, Hayden and Victoria Chatagnier; brother, Jannard (Linda) Porche; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Francis Chatagnier and Earl Fischer; parents, James and Elvire LeBoeuf Porche; brothers, James “J.P.” and Horace Porche; and sisters, Lura Authement, Pearl Kappel, Henrietta Leonard, Helen Creel and Hazel Boudreaux.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
She is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
