July 28, 2010Dorothy Mae Ray Johnson, 78, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died Wednesday, July 21, 2010.
She was a Baptist and a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Lucinda), Luther (Hazel), Asbie Joseph, Earnest and Louis Johnson; daughter, Vivian Johnson; sister, Bernadette Hines; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Ray Johnson; parents, Corneilus and Leola Ray, one brother, Corneilus Ray Jr.; two sisters, Annie Mae and Pinky Ray; grandparents, Cornelia Smith and Taylor Seymore.
She is buried at Mt. Calvary B. C. in Chauvin.
