October 11, 2012Dudley Joseph Freeman, 77, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.
Mr. Freeman was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He retired from Baker Hughes and was a manager and salesman for USA Labor. He served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Lafourche Shrine Club, an honorary Mason, past chief of the Port Fourchon Fire Department and an auxiliary harbor policeman.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Freeman; son, Bobby Jr. (Stacy) Ellender; and daughters, Penny (Franklin) Crosby, Angela Freeman and Aimee (Steven) Carnahan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Gracie Freeman; brothers, Jerald and Robert Freeman; and sister, Marilyn Freeman.
Interment was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
