Earl “Pookie” Thomas, 56, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, April 3.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Winter Thomas; his mother, Lillian Thomas of Montegut; sons, Earl Thomas Jr., Ron Oneil Thomas, Duane Pellegrin, Benjamin Pellegrin, Wayne Winter and Jesse Winter; daughters, Christina Thomas and Katherine Kitchen; brothers, Ernest Thomas and Brent Thomas; sisters, Betty Williams of Houma and Mable Williams of Bridge City; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Thomas Sr.; brothers, Willard Thomas Jr., Nelson Thomas and Leonard Thomas; sisters, Louvenia Thomas and Mary Lee Thomas; and his grandparents, Wallace Thomas Jr., Bertha Thomas, Benjamin Payne and Louvenia Payne.
He was a security guard supervisor with Vinson Guard and a member of Christ Full Gospel Baptist Church.
He was buried at Bisland Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
