March 27, 2012Earline Brunet Stringer, 75, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
Mrs. Stringer was a retired paraprofessional working for numerous schools in Terrebonne Parish. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, volunteered as a census taker and was on the recreation committee in Little Caillou. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons, Dwayne (Karen), Alex (Melba) and Lance Stringer; daughters, Donna (Aswell) LeCompte and Arlene (Joseph Jr.) Blanchard; sister, Marion Brunet; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stringer; parents, Simon Sr. and Lena Brunet; brothers, Lionel and Simon Jr. Brunet; and sister, Beverly Brunet.
Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 23, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
