Edison S. Chouest Sr., 91, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died Wednesday, October 1.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Gonzales Chouest; sons, Edison Jr., Gary and Laney Chouest; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julien and Lolita G. Chouest; brothers, Jeff Chouest and Joseph Chouest; sisters, Cecilia Cheramie, Elda Ellender, Pearl Moran, Beulah Peterson and Bessie Beningo; and one grandchild.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, La.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, October 5, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, October 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
