Lenten Gumbo served for 20 years, still going strong
March 19, 2010Edward “EB” Boudreaux Sr., a lifelong resident of Terrebonne Parish, died peacefully at 6:05 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 from complications related to Parkinson’s disease.
Mr. Boudreaux was the original owner of Gino’s Pizza and Seafood House established on Dec. 11, 1969. He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Stinkers Club.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Maisog; sons, Rudy (Becky) of Lafayette, La., Ronnie (Cindy) of Houma and Edward Boudreaux Jr. of Houma; daughters, Jeanne Lirette, Nina (Albert) Keen, both of Houma, and Marla and Mona Boudreaux of Kentucky; brothers, Ivy, Ernest, Eddie Jr., all of Houma, Larry of Erath, Gilbert and Wilbert Boudreaux, both of Houma; sisters, Delores Trosclair, Betty Dauzat, Gloria Duplantis, Jeanette Aucoin, all of Houma, Nettie Burton of Delaware, and Lillian Voisin of Houma; Edna Boudreaux, Victoria Guidry and Lisa Deese, all of Houma; 14 grandchildren, Meco Carlos, Ronnis Boudreaux Jr., Angel L Toups, Dustin Thibodeaux, Shea Musso, Ryan Boudreaux, Leigh Breitenkamp, Lyndi Kennedy, Jake Thibodeaux, Allyson Boudreaux, Andrew Keen, Tia Amedee, Nia Keen and Edward Boudreaux III; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Eddie Boudreaux; mother, Marie LeBouef Boudreaux; sons, Edward Jr. and Henry Boudreaux; and brothers, Maurice and Ira Boudreaux.
He is buried at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
