Edward “Ed” Fremin Jr., 75, a native and resident of Larose, La., passed away Sunday, October 19, at 8:30 a.m. at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Audrey Schouest Fremin of Larose; sons, Eddie Fremin of Larose, Doug and wife Nena Fremin of Katy, Tx., and Jerome Fremin of Oklahoma City, Ok.; daughters, Cindy and husband Don Griffin of Larose, Fay Fremin of Cut Off, La., and Sarah and husband Brian Pierce of Larose; sister, Camelia F. Orgeron of Cumming, Ga.; grandchildren, Tara and Garret Griffin, Craig, Ryan and Sadie Pierce, Paul and Jill Fremin, Melanie and Joshua Fremin and Steven Fremin; and great-grandchildren, Cade Griffin, Alex, Janie and Kylie Pierce, and Jalynn Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dell Breaux Fremin; and son, Mark Fremin.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Korean War. He held memberships to the Knights of Columbus Council #8898, Holy Name Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #853 and the American Legion Post #315. He retired from Texaco after 35 years of service.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 23, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with mass to follow. Committal will follow at the church cemetery.
