August 1, 2012Edward Paul Guidry, 88, a native of Verdunville, La., and resident of Patterson, La., died Sunday, July 22, 2012.
Mr. Guidry owned Guidry’s Boat Rentals and loved being on the water crawfishing, running catfish lines, shrimping and hunting. He was a great cook and an excellent carpenter having built his first home out of cypress. He was a wonderful dad and very giving man.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary (Gene) Gaudet, Maxine (Pat) Brown and Lynette (Randy) Aulds; brothers Lynwood (Doris), Willbur (Betty) and Calvin (Louella) Guidry; sister, Dot (Luie) Costin; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcelin and Elda Guidry; wife, Barbara Guidry; son, Glenn Guidry; brother, Leroy Guidry; and one grandchild.
Burial was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
