Downed economy, cold makes hard job tougher

Elaine Theresa Bourg, 73, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Monday, Jan. 11, 2010.
She is survived by her sons, Marvin (Bertha) and Mark (Kristen), Marty (Judy) and Mason (Rebecca) Bourg; daughters, Bonnie (Henry) Boudreaux, Marlene (Derral) Dupre and Ella (Sonny) Harmon; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus J. Bourg; and parents, Freddie and Vallie Thibodeaux Collins.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
