Elmer Joseph Blanchard, 78, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, March 26, 2010.

Mr. Blanchard was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Georgia Marie Pitre Blanchard; son, William (Teresa) Blanchard; daughter, Gwendolyn Blanchard; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held today, March 31, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass will follow at 11 a.m.

He will be buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
