August 25, 2011Elmer W. Fisher, 93, a native of Texarkana, Ark., and resident of Raceland, La., died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011.
Mr. Fisher was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an honorary member of the Sugarland Country Club and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie Fisher; daughter, Pamela Fisher; brothers, Raymond and Charles Fisher; and sisters, Louise Stedman, Dorothy Kellam and Florine Renfro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Metta Fisher; brother, Arthur Fisher; and sister, Daisy Yaeger.
Burial will be at Rondo Cemetery in Texarkana. (Samart-Mothe)
