Elsie N. Gauthreaux, 87, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014.
Mrs. Gauthreaux was a lifetime member of VFW Post 5097 and a devoted parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Betty (Walter) Babin, Earline Hebert, Howard (Cecile), Gayle and Kenneth (Maria) Gauthreaux, Susan (Ivy) Daigle and Karen (Kendall) Dufrene; brothers, Murphy and Irvin Naquin; 21 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Gauthreaux; son, Gary Gauthreaux; parents, Joseph and Ora Naquin; brother, Cedric Naquin; sister, Shirley Naquin; and one great-grandchild.
Burial is at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Landry’s)
