Carter seeks Houma judgeship
June 17, 2014Ernest Dubois Sr., 94, a native of Kaplan, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, June 12, 2014.
Mr. Dubois was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Kaplan American Legion Post 271 where he served on the funeral honors squad. He enjoyed dancing in his younger days and spending time with his family – especially spoiling his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Ernest Jr. (Cindy), Jean (Brenda), Carrel (Catherine), Lee (Pamela) and Chuck Dubois; daughters, Donna Arceneaux and Sue (Lawrence) Floyd; sister, Mae Rose Matte; brother, Edwin Dubois; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marscule and Natalie Dubois; daughter, Lois Dupuy; son, Ray Dubois; first wife, Anna Turner; second wife, Gladys Dubois; brothers, Armond, Yves, Dominic and Minos Dubois; and sister, Louise Duplantis.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 16, and 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Twin City Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at Berwick Cemetery. (Twin City)
