Eugene “Jay” Benoit, 67, a native and resident of Chacahoula, La., died Wednesday, May 28.
He is survived by his son, Joey Benoit and wife, Kristen; brother, Leo P. Benoit and wife, Mabel; sister, Janice Knobloch and husband, Cameron “Knobby”; and grandchildren, Cohen Ryan Benoit and Chelsey Boudreaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Roger Benoit and Felecie Bourgeois Benoit.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
