Eugene Schouest, 88, passed away on April 11, 2018.
Gene lived his life fully. He loved his family, attending church, fishing, hunting and football. He enjoyed traveling the country with hearing impaired groups and never allowed any disability to hinder him. His days were filled with working and loving the love of his life, Josephine, who he is now celebrating with, being home.
Pallbearers are Terry Schouest, Meridy (Lane) Bergeron, Meridy (Bubba) Bergeron II, Douglas Mills, Melvin Trosclair, Jr., and Michael Trosclair
He is survived by his children, Terry Paul Schouest (Carmen) , Chantel Schouest Bergeron (Meridy “Lane”); Russell “Rusty” Mills (Maria); Eric Mills (Guillermo); Douglas Mills; Linda Mills Cole (Clay). Brother, Ellis Schouest (Flavia), Sisters, Leona Schouest Rebert and Theresa Schouest Trosclair. His grandchildren, Katrina, Christina, Cheyenne, Victoria, Meridy (Bubba), Joshua, Heather, Patrick, Nicole, Amanda, and 13 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, family, friends and hearing impaired community throughout the country; all who loved seeing that joyous smile when Eugene laid his eyes upon them.
