Eula Mae Mayeaux Bourgeois, 87, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Thibodaux, La. died Monday, December 24, 2007, at 2:10 p.m.
She is survived by two sons, Carroll Bourgeois and his wife Gwen and Kenneth Bourgeois and his wife Maude; one daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Bourgeois Boudreaux; one brother, Clarence Mayeaux, Jr.; one sister, Bridget Pitre and her husband Junius; five grandchildren, Myree B. Calix and her husband Daniel, Marc Bourgeois and his wife Nicole, Jeremy Bourgeois, Lacey Bourgeois, and Brandon Boudreaux; and one great-grandchild, Samantha Calix.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Berming “Bon Bon” Bourgeois; her parents, Clarence and Aline Roundtree Mayeaux, Sr.; and four sisters, Pearl, Margaret, and Elizabeth Mayeaux and Hazel Guidry.
Eula was a retired employee of Nicholls State University, having previously worked for the Dixie Theater and St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was family oriented, a hard worker, and a good listener.
She is buried in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Church cemetery in Thibodaux.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
