Local troops brace for life away from home
January 6, 2010Eula Mae Trahan Verrett, 66, died at 4:26 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Kirby Verrett “Pumpkin”; sons, James “Jay” (Ann) and Cody (Christy) Boudreaux; daughters, Mona Fay (Jim) Lodrigue and Christine Marie (Ricky) Solet; brothers, Linus, Antioni “Miner,” Leffery and Joseph “Joe Joe” Trahan; sisters, Vernell Dion, Effie T. Parfait, Mary Jean Naquin and Enid Daisy; stepchildren, Charles Samanie, Timathy Verrett, Albert “T-Vis” Verrett, Samual Verrett, Tammy Samanie, Monica Defelice (Joe) Leco and Pamala and Chasity Verrett; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 18 stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Beulah Trahan; and sisters, Lorrena Marcel and Mable Lerritte.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the family.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
