Ezola “Sister” Johnson, 59, a native of Larose, La., and a resident of Houston, Tx., died Thursday, January 29, in West Houston Hospital at 4:20 a.m.

She is survived by her daughter, Yolando Bruce of Houston; sons, Earl Bellard of Houston, and Sedrick Johnson and Mitchell Johnson of Larose; sister, Edora Grigsby of Houston; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell Sr. And Gladys Bellard; daughter, Lorraine Bellard; and brother, Mitchell Bellard Jr.

She was a member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church and served on the Deaconess Board. Her hobbies included sewing and baking.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Larose with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
