Felicia “Teach” Callais Mayeur, 76, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died at 1:47 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010.

Mrs. Mayeur was a loving mother. She worked at Harold’s Jewelry and Lafourche Life Insurance before retiring to become full-time caregiver to her mother and brother. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors as their number one supporter. Her strength of spirit was truly one to be admired. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Mayeur Sr.; one infant grandson, Ellis Mayeur III; parents, Arcelone and Lillian Collins Callais; three brothers, Arcelone, Livingston and John Callais; and two sisters, Minola Griffin and Gloria Danos.

She is interred at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, La.
