Floyd Paul Picou Sr., 81, a native of Chauvin, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 5 a.m. Friday, September 26.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley M. Babin Picou of Houma; two sons, Floyd P. Picou Jr. and Gregory Picou Sr. of Houma; one daughter, Tammy Johnston of Houma; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Xavier Picou and Edna Lapeyrouse Picou; one daughter, Diana Picou; one son-in-law, George Johnston; two brothers, Hayes Picou and Jean Picou; and three sisters, Loise LeFort Picou, Joyce Bonvillain Picou and Eulice Watkins.
He was a retired supervisor with Petroleum Treaters and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, September 29, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
