Frank “Joe” Fryou Jr., 62, of Amelia, La., died Sunday, February 1.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Julie Dupre Fryou of Amelia; his mother, Louise Fryou of Amelia; sons, Rodney Fryou and wife Sheryl of Texas, and Billy Tharp and fiancé Christen of Chauvin, La.; daughters, Patty Blair and husband Chris of Oklahoma, Joey Simons and husband Tracy of Georgia, and Kimberly Bailey and husband Teddy of Amelia; brothers, LeRoy Breaux Jr. of Amelia and Jeffery Paul Fryou of Wyoming; sisters, Dianne Hotard of Amelia and Rita Duplantis of Dulac, La.; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Fryou Sr.; and grandparents, Adrian and Hazel Champagne and John and Marie Fryou.

He was employed by Schlumberger for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He loved country music, westerns, working crossword puzzles and putting together jig saw puzzles.

He was buried at St. Andrew’s Cemetery.
