Freddie Stuart Sr., 82, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Monday, July 28.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wilma Ellen Johnson Stuart of Raceland; four sons, Freddie Stuart Jr. of Thibodaux, Craig Stuart of Raceland, Joevonnie Ray Stuart of Maryland and Doevonnie Clay Stuart of Raceland; three daughters, Linda Faye of California, Terry Stuart of Algiers, La., and Patrice Stuart of Houma, La.; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ella Brown and Adam Stuart; eight brothers; and four sisters.
He was Baptist. His hobbies included watching baseball on television.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday July 30, at New St. Mathews Missionary Baptist Church in Mathews, La., with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
