Frederick “Freddy” Fuchs, 62, a native and long time resident of Houma, La., died Friday, January 30, at 1 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda Ann Bourg Fuchs of Houma; son, Henry “Hank” Fuchs of Houma; daughter, Marie Nolian Fuchs Langley and husband Ryan of Houma; brothers, Eric Paul Fuchs and Edmund Gustav Fuchs, Jr.; sisters, Martha Fuchs Valure, Emilie Ann Fuchs and Mary Margaret Fuchs Price; and grandchildren, Alex Fuchs, Tyler Dean Langley and Karleigh Jeanne Marie Langley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund Gustav Fuchs Sr. and Jeanne Blanchard Fuchs.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 3700, and the United Veterans League. He was a Ham radio operator, a Vietnam Veteran and belonged to the Navy Sea Bees. He was a retired diesel mechanic and a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scout Troop 311, Vigil Honor and Order of Arrow. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday February 5, at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church with a memorial service to follow. Burial will be at St. Anthony Bayou Black Cemetery
