Gary “Ree” Bartell, 58, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, February 14, at 2:19 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Boudreaux Bartell; mother, Marguerite Stevens Bartell; stepson, Kory Boudreaux; brothers, Richard Bartell, Michael Bartell and Brian Bartell; sisters, Linda Gaffney, Susan Prejeant and Ellen Bartell; and his beloved dachshunds, Melo and Bandit.
He was preceded in death by his father, George H. Bartell.
He was a veteran of the U.S Marine Corps and the Vietnam conflict.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
