Gavin Matthew “Captain Crayola” Beard, 7, a resident of Lafourche Parish, La., died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.
Gavin was a student of South Thibodaux Elementary and just recently Bayou Blue Elementary. In February he was granted a wish through the Blake McKay Fight for Life Foundation where he, family and close friends attended Disney World. His all-time favorite passion was coloring. He also loved to sing and dance to his favorite tunes.
He is survived by his mother, Misty Rodgers; sister, Shawna Cortez; brother, Tristan Rodgers; step-father, Chad Bergeron; grandmother, Angie Johnson; grandfather, Wayne Bergeron; and father, Jeff Inman. (Thibodaux)
