Georgia Robbins Smith, 75, a native of Ellendale, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died in an automobile accident Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 10:31 a.m.
She is survived by her sons, Broderick Smith and Elliot Lewis; daughters, Devie Smith, Alice S. Murray and Margaret S. Cage; brother, Joe Robbins; sister, Hazel R. Theriot; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam “Boo” Smith; parents, Martha Jackson Robbins and Silas Robbins; and sister, Nell Crawford.
She was Baptist and a member of First Corinthian Baptist Church where she was a faithful choir member. She enjoyed cooking, singing, spending time with family and visiting the sick and elderly. She was a retired cook with the Terrebonne Parish School Board and a foster grandparent volunteer.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 4, at Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 5, at Living Gospel Church.
