Georgiana “Jane” Griffin Authement, 92, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and a resident of Cut Off, La., died Sunday, February 15, at 6:05 p.m.
She is survived by her son, Michael D. Authement; daughter, Leah A. Brunet; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Authement; parents, Louis and Olivette Griffin; brothers, Jackson Griffin and Hilton Griffin; and sister, Antoinette “Toni” Verret.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 8538, and a member of NAPUS. She was a retired postmaster in Cut Off and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
