March 27, 2013Gerald James Fabre, 73, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Bayou L’Ourse, La., died Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
Mr. Fabre worked for Vincent Guard as the supervisor. He was a certified gun instructor and enjoyed hunting and taking his grandchildren fishing. He also enjoyed his wife’s good cooking. His wife fondly remembers how he never removed his wedding band – a true mark of a perfect husband. He was a trustworthy husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jennie Fabre; sons, Clement, Scotty and Blaine Fabre and Fabian Breaux; daughters, Radonna Richard and Antoinette Fabre; sisters, Kay and Rena; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday, March 25, at Hargrave Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
